ABOUT HOW TO LOSE FAT FAST

So what is my story? Why should you even listen to me? I spent 30 or so of my 54 years fighting the Fat Gremlins. An ongoing battle I never seemed to win for any length of time.  How to lose fat fast was my mantra.  I went through all the lose fat diets that came down the pike.  Many of them worked, for awhile.  I would get down to my goal weight, then after having felt deprived on a highly structured and controlled weight loss diet, back to the same old eating habits I would drift.  Back would come all that body fat I had lost, more often than naught more of it would appear on my body than I had started with.  Sound familiar? Even endless hours of cardio exercise didn’t seem to make a dent in my body fat level.  The Fat Gremlins always seemed to win in the end, most depressing.  About six years ago on a visit to the Doctor, I weighed in at 248lbs. on my 5’11″ frame.  I had never been that heavy before.  I was shocked and embarrassed at the denial I had allowed myself!  All those years of being yo yo diet boy had left me worse off than ever.  The Fat Gremlins prevailed, they were doing victory laps around my fat body. That is when I got serious about taking the lessons already learned on what did and did not work, plus new research on how the body worked and set my goal to lose the fat forever.  I found that by focusing on my body weight rather than my body fat percentage, I had actually done damage to my overall health and even worse the restricted diets had lowered my muscle mass which slowed down my already slow metabolism even more!   I did, however, find the solution for how to lose body fat permanently.  I now weigh in at 172lbs, give or take two lbs.  I have stayed there for the last three years. My body fat level is 14% as compared to my previous 34%.  I eat whenever I am hungry, I don’t live in a gym, I splurge when I feel like it, I feel better, have more energy and see a Doctor hardly ever.  The fast part of how to lose fat fast boils down to lose fat gain muscle, the simple Cliff Notes version. The foundation is eating the right foods.

So what exactly is the best how to lose fat fast plan on the planet?  The bad news first, there is no one perfect lose fat program that is best for everyone. The good news, there are several. They all share the same real science, the difference is mostly in how they serve it up.  From full blown college level everything you ever wanted to know about how the body works and why, to a quick and easy to follow guide that doesn’t get overly descriptive in the science. Here is what I have found that must be present in whatever strategy you employ to finally, permanently beat the Fat Gremlins:

  • It should never leave you feeling hungry,starved, deprived or overly restricted.It should (will) make you feel better, more energy and most definitely improve your overall health.It should give you an overall game plan that is easy to follow, gives you an anchor to refer to and will become so natural that you find you rarely have to even think about it. A few of the good plans even have a support network available. Your very own personal trainer,coach and mentor in your living room. Without the personal trainer price tag either. A very important feature for some.It accounts for the different metabolic body types and how to identify which one you are. Yes there are several types and your game plan has to be geared to your specific type.

    Food is a drug, make no mistake about that concept. It was the most important lesson learned that brought about my own success. You have to learn how the body works. Which hormones control fat storage and fat burning. There are four primary hormones you need to learn. It will teach you which foods effect which hormones and how they effect your body. Should you choose to add exercise to your lose fat plan ( not mandatory to lose fat, but it sure helps on several levels) it will teach you how to best exercise for maximum results. There are an extraordinary number of myths and bad information out there on effective exercise for fat loss. Hint, this is the key to the fast part. High intensity interval training is the solution.

    No drugs,magic potions or silly “exercise” devices that magically make fat go away. Been there, done that, they are all phooey. period. Eat natural foods, if it comes in a can or a box, you probably don’t want to put it in your body. Reduce consumption of starches ( wheat,corn,rice, potatoes etc.), Avoid sugar of any kind like the Black Plague it is. This game plan will get you started on the right path while you learn more about the right foods to fuel your body with.

And of course it needs to leave you feeling and looking like a Hollywood Movie Star!, Ok,ok……. at least feeling like you could be a movie star.
